Frequently asked questions.
FAQs
Are pets allowed?
1
To maintain a comfortable, safe, and allergy-free environment for all of our residents, we do not have the capacity to accommodate pets at this time.
Does Medicare cover independent residential living?
2
Generally, federal programs like Medicare and Medicaid do not cover the cost of independent room and board. Because we are an independent house-share, our rent is private-pay. We recommend visiting medicare.gov or medicaid.gov to learn more about what your specific medical benefits cover.
Is furniture included?
3
Yes! Our home is fully furnished. We can adjust room layouts and provide furniture based on each resident’s style requests. However, if you prefer to bring your own cherished pieces to make the space feel like your own, you are more than welcome to do so!
How are specific dietary needs accommodated?
4
We cater to a wide variety of dietary requirements. During our initial intake and consultation process, we gather detailed information about your loved one's dietary restrictions and preferences to ensure all meals are prepared safely and deliciously.
What are the monthly rates?
5
Because our all-inclusive rates depend on specific room layouts and availability, we do not list a flat public rate. The best way to get accurate pricing is to send us a message or schedule a quick call with us through the “Next Steps” tab so we can review the best options for your family.

Do you provide hands-on medical care or nursing services?
7
No, we are an independent residential house-share, not a licensed assisted living or medical facility. While we provide a supportive environment, all-inclusive amenities, and a 24/7 emergency call system, our residents must be able to manage their own personal and medical care. However, residents are always welcome to hire their own third-party home health or nursing agencies to visit them at the house!
Can family and friends visit?
8
Absolutely! This is our residents' home, and we want it to feel like it. Family and friends are always welcome to visit. We just ask that guests respect the privacy and peaceful environment of the other housemates.
Is transportation provided for errands or appointments?
9
Yes. We provide local transportation for community outings, local errands, and scheduled medical appointments in the Cortez/Mancos area, so residents never have to worry about driving or booking a taxi.
Do I have to sign a long-term yearly lease?
10
No. We understand that flexibility is important for our seniors and their families. We operate on a standard 30-day (month-to-month) rental agreement, so you are never locked into a rigid, long-term annual contract.
